Srinagar, Nov 07 (KNO): The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Friday celebrated the 150th anniversary of the iconic national song “Vande Mataram” with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at the Group Centre, CRPF Srinagar. 522 Officers & Jawans, led by Rajesh Kumar, ADG JK Zone, joined in a powerful rendition of “Vande Mataram” on its historic 150th anniversary.
The event concluded with the collective singing of the song and a pledge to uphold national integrity and harmony, a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reads.
Rajesh Kumar, ADG J&K Zone CRPF, highlighted the timeless relevance of “Vande Mataram” as a symbol of unity, sacrifice, and devotion to the motherland.
He lauded the personnel of CRPF for upholding these very ideals through their unwavering service and dedication in the Valley.
Pawan Kumar Sharma, IG Srinagar Sector, Vivek Bhandral, DIG GC Srinagar CRPF, Amit Butola, DIG (Medical) CRPF & other senior officers of CRPF were also present on the occasion.
All Units and Offices of CRPF across the Kashmir valley also celebrated the abovesaid event with great zeal and patriotic enthusiasm.
The programme reflected the Force’s deep sense of pride in the nation’s heritage and its commitment to preserving the values that “Vande Mataram” embodies—(KNO)
